Education is a journey, not a race or a destination.

Exponential Learning is a decentralized education program operated 100% by parents. Birthed from our parent organization, Baywood Learning Centers (BLC), which serves gifted children, has always (since 2007) featured a homeschool program to achieve the amount of customization and advancement required by gifted students.

Parents of gifted children often turn to home-learning as a way to support the advanced learning needs of their children. But the fact is, all children benefit from and deserve a custom education curriculum to hone their talents and abilities.

Enter Covid-19, and the closure of schools, requests for the BLC homeschool program and hybrid programs exploded. Even Google sent a notice that visits to the BLC website had increased by 212%!

In order to transition the BLC program to be able to handle such an increase, a new vision was needed. Exponential Learning was the answer. Through this new entity, BLC is transforming into a decentralized education program which is operated and controlled 100% by parents.

Specifically, what this means is that Exponential Learning operates as the administrative arm of a private school, separate from government control and mandates. While registered with the California Department of Education, this independent school's program control and oversight are managed by parents. BLC licenses and mentors Lead Parents to operate their own micro-schools. Some of our programs even pay qualified parents who are willing to help other parents!

Starting in California, Exponential Learning is expanding to meet demand by opening micro-schools in every school district in California where parents have requested support through our home-learning programs. While spaces last, BLC, through Exponential Learning’s micro-school program, provides customized curriculum, academic guidance and in-person enrichment classes wherever they are needed.

This program focuses on self determination, personal growth and self actualization of students in a meritocracy. Towards these goals, our programs include enrichment workshops such as Financial Literacy, Entrepreneurship, and other courses designed to increase student confidence, competence and resilience for the dynamic future that lies ahead.
